Review on Hurricane Fur Wizard: Ultimate Pet Hair & Lint Remover - By BulbHead - 1 Pack by Kristy Powers

Cheap plastic. break easily.

I have been using this product for about 4 months and while it works it does have some significant drawbacks. First of all, it was immediately noticeable that the plastic was of poor quality and the handle didn't fit the brush head very well. This, combined with the fact that I have to pull quite hard to get the brush out of the holder, resulted in the pen inevitably falling. In fact, after a month of use, the handle broke. I used glue to reattach the handle and it's holding up pretty well. But the handle really should have been fixed better. Also, you need to make sure you're using the brush in the right direction for it to work (against the fibers of the brush material). Otherwise, all the lint and hair collected by the brush will settle back onto your clothes. It takes some attention to make sure you're holding the brush and moving it properly, especially if you're switching hands to brush lint off yourself. It would be nice if the grains went in opposite directions on either side of the brush so I could use the brush's downward motion with both my left and right hands. Since the fibers of the fabric are the same on both sides, I can brush with my right hand, but when I switch to my right hand I have to think about brushing. I often stop to feel the fabric of the brush with my hand to make sure I know which way to brush. Maybe I'll draw little arrows on the brush with a permanent marker to give me a visual reminder of which direction to go. In short, the brush does a great job of removing pet hair and lint from clothes and I'm glad I don't use and throw away so many lint rollers. But how cheap the plastic is and how important it is to use it correctly makes you want to reach for the lint roller again.
