I wanted to play my PS2 on my monitor instead of the TV in my room so I could sit and talk to my friend while we played games together. After looking at several cheaper options I settled on this one, it works well but I don't have a USB connection on my monitor so I have to keep my computer on to use the device. I wish it had both a port and a USB port so I don't have to keep the computer on when I want to play on my PS2. Sound and video are what you would expect from RCA cables. I wish they would do one for RGB too as the screen quality would be better.
