Not for small animals

I was hoping the grate would be small enough for our chinchillas, but it's too big and I'm afraid their paws won't slip through. rather sharp-edged and not rounded. I don't want to risk having one of the chins panic when the foot comes through and then cut when they come out. have to disagree.
