I now have two of these Pacsafe travelsafes, and while I don't travel much, I do love to have one of these in each of my cars. There are many times where I will have my work laptop and gear with me (on my way home for instance) and I cannot (or do not want) to bring it with me to a restaurant/store/etc. I put my stuff in this safe, anchor it to something in the rear of my SUV, and put the rear cover on so it's hidden (note: I do this prior to arriving to the place where I park)While the braided steel wire could be cut with the right tools and effort, at least I've got one level of theft deterrence against 'smash and grabs.' I also use this when we go camping, to the beach, etc. Again, it's not theft-proof, but anything that makes it more difficult is a huge plus.
