Purchased these for a cruse that didn't happen. Have them on various metal surfaces including a door and they work good for hanging things on them. They come with a white sticky circle to put on the bottom so they don't scratch things. I have one on the dryer for garbage bag to hold dryer lint. Couple on back door for coats and leashes for the dog. Couple on the fridge for lunch bags. Great quality tailgate bike mount. Only issue is that when properly tensioned, the center of the padding is stretched unevenly and causes it to bunch up in the center of the tailgate. For the most part, I like this soap dish. I do have one complaint. The three drain openings are too wide, and when my soap bar becomes small, it tends to slide through the grooves into the bottom part of the dish. You need to make the three grooves more narrow.I would also like to see this dish offered in a dark brown wood.
