I decided to spice up my light blonde hair with some color. I wanted something subtle, something where I could easily control where the colors are placed and how much the color spreads through my hair. I tried this set and am satisfied. I want an extra light color so I don't worry too much about getting my hair wet, but for best application hair should be damp when using the crayons. The chalk containers/pens are easy to use and make applying the chalk fairly easy and less messy than using hand chalk. The colors came out beautiful and vibrant - so vibrant that I brushed my hair a bit to tone it down so it wasn't so obvious that I had rainbow streaks in my hair as I was working. It holds up pretty well - I didn't use hairspray or anything like the instructions suggest, but that's because I didn't really bother to set the color. It stays on its own pretty well and doesn't rub off of my pillow overnight. The only negative about this set are the handles - they are cheap lightweight plastic that may not hold up well to rough handling. So far so good for me, but I take good care of her. Overall I really like this set and plan to buy again when I need more.
