Once set up, it works for our little pig when she sleeps around the house at night. I wouldn't use it as permanent housing, the walls are a little high and the privacy screen prevents the animal from seeing the room. The top zippered compartment is nice and big. It is water repellent, not water repellent. You can hose it down to clean it, but if water sprays out of the bowl, the floor underneath will get wet. The worst thing is that I can't fold it back. I followed the instructions, looked it up on YouTube. I don't know if ours is broken but I can't put it back in my bag for the life of me so it just stays folded between the sofa and the wall when not in use.
