I bought this kit to replace the motherboard of an iPhone 5SE. I didn't want to spend a lot of money because the phone doesn't cost much so I took a chance and bought this kit. I had low expectations given the unknown brand and low price but was very surprised when I opened the box. The quality of the instruments exceeded all my expectations. There are a lot of things in the kit so I'll go through them separately. Suction Tongs: These came with suction cups deformed into a useless shape. I'm not sure why they don't just remove them from the tool to prevent this, especially since they are aware of the issue. The instructions that come with it explain a little weirdly how to straighten them. I took the suction cups off and placed them in a cup of hot water as instructed and they were actually able to fully recover to their normal shape. There is also an identical second set that can be used as well. Once I did that, the tool itself worked very well and easily removed the display from the phone. It seems to be of good quality and I think it will stand up to a lot of phones being opened up. Screwdriver: A five-blade screwdriver works well for screws and I had no problem prying the phone open. The same applies to Phillips screwdrivers. I have a German made Wiha set and while they are better they have been perfectly functional and I have used them throughout the job just to see how they work. I did not remove any of the screws and when I was done the tips showed no signs of wear. The dimensions are given on the label built into the pen, which is very nice. The plastic handles have a slight burr around the edges, but nothing that can't be easily trimmed with a knife if desired. Inexpensive tweezers are rarely good. These tweezers are amazing. They are ground to a very nice finish and have very sharp points. I haven't used them much when repairing a phone other than to grab a few screws, but I've reached for them on and off ever since, and they're easily able to pull out fine "peachy fluffy" hairs and splinters manipulate very small objects. : Spudgers are of good quality and feel like the same hard plastic as the true originals I have from 3M/SCS. The wide flat can be good for prying up glued components, but the sizes of the others are a bit odd - they're quite large for phone-sized components. I see them useful for other jobs but wish there was at least one smaller size in this set. I didn't use them during the renovation. SIM Card Tool: This is a fairly soft and pliable material. As long as you're careful, it gets the job done, but it's nothing special. Opening Picks/Guitars: These are the most important opening picks. Two sizes are good. I haven't really used them in this job, but for something with glue I've found them useful. Aperture Cards: They are made of hard, flexible plastic. I didn't need them for this repair but they look like they would be great for jobs that require them. Cleaning Cloth: This is a normal cleaning cloth. Nothing exciting, but fingerprints will be removed when you're done. All in all, there are many very functional tools that are much better than the "disposable junk" that comes in some of the repair kits included here. All you have to do to see the value of this set is try to buy the same items in this set from [a major repair tool supplier with i and fix and it in their name]. It's just that their suction cup opener costs more than this kit.
