I am very satisfied with this case (250 compartments, black with pink flowers). Here's what I need to keep: MANY different painting tools: * crayons, * gel pens, * tombow brush pens, ** sharpies, etc. DIFFERENT TYPES: *large, *small, *thick, *thin, *glossy, *wax-based, *erasable, *thin, *brush tip, *slanted tip, etc. USED FOR: *daily notepads, *bullet journals, *coloring books, *recipes, *diaries. I have tried all types of art tool holders on Revain. It's the first device of its kind with slots large enough to keep pens in place, easy to find and store. ADVANTAGES: * It opens like a book, pages left to right so it's easy to find the right colors. I've had others in this style, but either because of the size or because of the shape, the sides hung vertically - it was difficult to use. * The slits sewn across the elastic on each side really fit anyone from very thick to very thin. Each slot is large enough for 3 regular pencils or 2 thick ones. But whatever you want to put in there is fine! Oh, and they're easy to get to, too.* There's plenty of room from top to bottom for even the longest holds like the Tonbow. * Even when full of thick markers, it easily zips up. CONS * On one side of my case, the stitching came undone at the end. I do not care. * It may contain fewer pens than expected. Depending on how thick your pens and pencils are, they may not hold the maximum number. This is not a problem for me. I will just order more. * A full case may be thicker than expected. It gets thicker or thinner depending on how many pins you put in and how thick they are. To make it thinner just add thinner pins. I added some very bold marks to mine. When fully zippered, it is 4 inches wide. Conclusion: * Everything fits, both thick and long * They are easily accessible * They do not fall out * They are easy to use.
