Review on πŸ–¨οΈ ELEGOO Neptune 2S Extruder Printer with 220x220x250mm Build Volume by Jake Powell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For the price it can't be beat!

I've added a few upgrades, but this printer is amazingly cheap even without the upgrades. I know you can get other clones (and the original E3) for the same price, but I recommend this one unconditionally. Reasons why? - Excellent print quality right out of the box. - Some other clones don't implement runway thermal protection properly - Should be a safety feature. This one does it right. Very clean appearance, no need to put covers on the rails to prevent small parts from falling off. Not sure what to expect from a company on the other side of the world but they have been very helpful and supportive of their product. It's a little delay, but I've ALWAYS received email replies within 48 hours. Some people might think it's slow, but I'm okay with that because the support is REALLY GOOD. I'd rather get an answer the same day from someone who can't help. One area of improvement that could be exploited is the touchscreen interface. It works well and is great for beginners, but it limits things a bit when you start learning more. There are ways around this with Octoprint and other options, but you have to add this yourself. In addition, when the bed is pushed forward, it is located directly above the touchscreen. That can make it a little inconvenient, but it's also nice because the printer takes up less space (the trade-off here). Note; If the Neptune 2s is available I would go with it because you will actually be spending more on the upgrades it has compared to what you get with it out of the box. Based on the quality of the prints and the great support I've received, albeit not PERFECT. I highly recommend this product. Also, I have yet to see a PERFECT 3D printer in the world, no matter the price.
