Purchased to replace the longer than necessary USB-C 3.1 cable that originally came with my Samsung T5 SSB (2TB). I wasn't sure if this would actually give me USB 3.1 speeds or just USB 2.0 like most other short USB-C to USB-C cables I've tried, but of course I have a Blackmagic Drive speed test performed with a T5 connected to my MacBook Pro 15" (2017 model) via this cable confirms the speed is as fast as the 3.1 cable that the T5 came with. The write speed was 485MB/s and at a load of 5GB - 512MB/s. As far as I know, at 9 inches, this is the shortest USB-C to USB-C cable available on Amazon that actually delivers USB 3.1 speeds, making it a perfect replacement for is the unnecessarily long 18" cable that originally came with the T5. For the ones I tried, a few others were 6" shorter and they only worked at USB 2.0 speeds, so I returned them. Although this guardian Sch also to be very good quality. I will buy another pair in case I lose or break this one.
