Review on πŸ’¨ Experience Optimal Air Circulation with the Vornado 154 Whole Room Air Circulator Tower Fan, 32 by Veronica Williams

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic for small bedrooms too!

I was very surprised by this fan. My app was most likely not the same as the others who bought it. I bought this to replace the Lasko Blizzard fan that I used in my bedroom at night. I use it for both cooling and white noise to help me sleep at night. My current bedroom is a 10x13 basement with slightly lower ceilings than usual. I run pretty warm and don't like hot, humid climates at all; but I can't sleep at night without a good, comfortable blanket. The Lasko lasted me a good 3 years and produced quite a bit of air movement for the price. It was quite a risky purchase in my opinion because it costs a lot more than the Lasko Blizzard. I decided to upgrade just because the marketing for this product is amazing. They sell it as being able to move quite a large volume of air and really keep the air moving constantly. I like it a lot, like the Dyson Air Multiplier, but it represents a fantastic $99 price point. Installation was relatively easy, although I wasn't expecting any assembly for a fan of this size. They pack the base separately per product and include 4 screws for manual assembly. I probably should have looked at the instructions first, but I figured out the base-to-base key system with relative ease. There is a plastic locking pin on the base that matches the shape of the base. Once the fan was on, I found it pretty quiet. On the highest setting you can definitely hear it working in the room; but it wasn't loud enough to talk about. On the contrary, it blends in perfectly with the background. At the lowest setting, I actually had to verify that air was actually moving. To my surprise, it still moves a decent amount of air even on the lowest settings. I found the fan to make a very flat noise that fades slightly into the background. I find it fantastic for a night's sleep on the highest settings. All of this doesn't even begin to sell this fan. The real experience lies in their design and attention to detail. The fan (with ideal dimensions) keeps the air constantly moving. You can feel the slight movement of air very strongly throughout the room. This seems to greatly affect the perception of temperature in the room. It seems at least a few degrees colder than the thermostat says. It's able to maintain an incredibly steady flow of air that doesn't feel choppy in any way. It looks very well built but is not very heavy. One thing I didn't like is that they have a Vornado tag wrapped with nylon thread around one of the blades that was very difficult to untie and I ended up cutting it off and keeping a small piece in my fan leave it stuck, which seems to rattle when I twist it up or down. It doesn't seem to affect performance in any way, so I don't think it's an issue. I highly recommend this fan. I'm sure it will work as advertised in a larger room based on my little test. I will definitely be buying more of these to fill the rest of my space. Her craftsmanship and technical skills really come through. It feels like it was built by someone who really cared about solving the problem properly. In my opinion this is a definite 5 star experience.
