Review on Effective Odor Control: Arm & Hammer Feline Pine Platinum Non-Clumping Cat Litter 18lb with Baking Soda by Amy Lindsey

Revainrating 2 out of 5

1 bag = 2 carton changes, 1 every 4 DAYS! = about $55 per month!

I usually buy another Revain eco cat litter on subscription and save, but it's sold out. It's like a natural eco concept, but the problem is that once you urinate on it, it turns into little chips. You cannot scoop urine unless it sticks together, and only unused pellets are scooped. The pellets also go with the feces and don't fall off, so you end up throwing away unused garbage. Cats will not dig into urine shavings to poop. You just leave it up and go what stinks. Within 2 days of not being able to get rid of the soggy dusty dirt, our kitten who never peed outside of his box just did so in a pillow basket in our living room! He got caught red in a photo my husband took because he thought the cat was just a cute kitten! In fact, I just heard him in the box trying to dig into the unused edges of the pellets (they make an awkward noise). I suspect he ran out of pellets and decided to find a clean spot. The eco concept is great, I just wish they added something to the pellets to emphasize the gel effect. If you can't clean up used litter and also throw away unused granules, that makes this brand of litter useless. Per pound, this filler was more expensive than the eco-friendly one I've used before, and it doesn't even come close to doing the job. A sachet is 2 fillers of a standard toilet. I filled it on Wednesday and today is Sunday, I haven't even had a week because you can't pick it up and the price of throwing it out every few days is too expensive. Using this product costs around $55 per month. I canceled the automatic option, found my brand on Revain and subscribed.
