Review on πŸ—‘οΈ InSinkErator Evolution Essential XTR Continuous Feed Garbage Disposal with Air Switch and Cord, 3/4 HP - Gray by Matthew Oumer

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quiet, but will my new Ev Essential XTR deliver on its 9-year promise?

It seems to me that the garbage chutes are deliberately designed in such a way that they fail shortly after the guarantee has expired. I must have bought a dozen of these things over the past 40 years. Easy to use, I never wanted to spend a lot of money on it, so I always bought models with 2, 3 or even 5 years warranty. Although I've only used them once or twice a week, they all seem to rust right on schedule - making a mess and interrupting my peaceful life. As for the brand of InSinkErator that I always buy, I personally like the "Quick Change," the universal set ring that all InSinkErators have. It's a shame I had to change dispensers so often. NOW this model looks different! It's very quiet, and if the claims are true, then all the mechanics are stainless steel with extra leak protection. Quite expensive for what we hardly use, but so far I'm satisfied. He is very quiet. I will give InSinkErator the benefit of the doubt about their 9 year warranty. (Your little chart says my Evolution Essential XTR has a 9 Year Home Limited Warranty). The device was also purchased through Revain. Tax adjusted, the InSinkErator Badger 5 I ordered on September 7th, 2018 cost me $97.20 with a 3 year warranty, but it died/rusted/leaked just before October 20th, 2020. That's $46.60 $ per year. This device cost me $273.05 on October 27th (2020). If it lasts every 9 years, it is $30.34 per year. On this basis, this modernization seems economically feasible. Let's hope this lasts the full warranty period. It's weird to think I'm paying about $2.53 every month to even have this thing there. If I turn it on twice a week, it costs $0.29 per use. It's a bit more difficult to install than its louder cousins, as the soundproofing that surrounds the device extends upwards, leaving very little space between it and the floor. my sink where you can reach out and align the locking ring. Of course it's quiet. My wife and I smile a little every time we turn it on.
