This is the perfect solution for anyone who is frustrated with the Magic Remote that comes with LG's high-end televisions. It won't magically play a paused video if accidentally touched, force you to focus a red dot on a specific spot, or prompt you to activate voice recognition when you really want to mute it. The volume button is in its place. I ordered 2 so we could share control - and always found at least one! It really is just plug in the batteries and play. We love it.
