The clamshell seemed nice at first. However, I am dissatisfied with the lack of a locking mechanism. It's not at all clear why it shouldn't exist. The cot/chair folds up with the slightest movement forwards or backwards. This was the second I tried with a non-existent locking mechanism. It seems to be the most basic of all the needs of one of them. It's dangerous and nerve wracking. On the other hand, the fabric is a very dense and more durable material. There are no badly located bars. The body moves well. It's lightweight and folds pretty flat. The feet are plastic but not slippery. It can be folded up or down on the head. He does this without thinking about it because there is no blockage. It's a clumsy thing to set up and ultimately useless because it doesn't block. It also scratches easily when trying to install and break it. I'm disappointed as I found it really promising. There are cheaper alternatives that work better than this crib.
