The crystals are amazing. The instructions state that the crystals must be attached after hanging. I add lobster claws to the ends of the crystals, which are jewelry clasps for a necklace that you can buy for a few dollars at Michaels or any other hobby store that sells jewelry making supplies. Otherwise, it would be very difficult to attach metal rings, and metal rings bend easily. I see other reviews mentioning complex assembly. I'm still in the process of painting it antique gold to match my door hardware.
