Works like a charm in training and behavior guides

This thing has worked great for me and my smart but not very well trained country dogs. We have moved from a dense forest to an old farm area and suddenly the dogs have several acres of open (fenced) pasture to run around and most importantly bark! - in, plus for the first time we have visible neighbors. Part of the place is around the corner from the back porch, which is where I usually go when she's barking something. This pipe fulfills its purpose without much preparation. From the start the dogs seemed to find its sound fascinating - I blew on it softly while they were around and they trotted over to see what it was. I was so pleased with her reaction that I really hardly practiced. The sound seems to pierce through a fit of barking, and after a little patience we got to the point where we figured out that the two sharp noises meant "stop barking" - and they do! An extra blast means "Back to the Porch" - so far the success rate is around 80%, although they'll be reporting in a few more minutes. I was curious to see what the sound level is for a human. ears because the responses seemed to vary and because I hear unusually well. That's interesting - the loud sound on it really doesn't make much noise, but it still rings a bit in the ears. I assume that means it's making a lot of noise, but most of it is outside of my human hearing range. Well I don't think whistling is a nuisance in my area, especially compared to the crazy barking of two big dogs!
