This music tree is just amazing in my Christmas village! This is the third one I bought because I really like it. I bought two for my giant Christmas village where I placed them in the center of my village and one for my mother's Christmas village. They're expensive, but they're worth it in terms of style and that they actually make a difference. There is a rotary switch on the back of the tree that allows you to turn it on and off, as well as control the volume. There is NO separate watch face for music or no music at all - just one watch face. If you want the light on but no music playing, turn the knob until it lights up but before you hear a tone. If you want to see lights as well as hear music, do the same, but it's best to turn up the volume. I love that the star lights up and all the Christmas carols and the lights blinking and twinkling. By far my favorite place in my Christmas village. Only criticism is that the battery compartment at the bottom is quite cheap and needs a better locking tab. One of mine broke off a piece and I had to tape it up. You will need multiple sets of batteries as they are battery hogs. During the Thanksgiving/Christmas period I have to change the batteries every few weeks because there are so many. I just love this tree and how dazzling it is!
