I bought your dual port version to power a rear view camera and screen that I installed on my old Chevy Sonic. When I first used it, I didn't unplug it. Ouch! Dead battery. It looked like it was off, but it wasn't. I looked at the answers for different products to find out why. Another company said turn off the device first and then the ignition. Aha! It worked. Good. I love how this version fits my car and how it can be angled or not. I'm glad I can save it now if I seem to know how to turn it off. I? Does it make sense to switch off the device first and then the engine? Hopefully. I want to keep this version. They might consider adding a note on the shutdown method to their instructions. The dead battery wasn't a big problem. I have a very small battery jumper that works great. I also bought it through Revain. I'm an old man and prone to stupid things. Happy New Year.
