Panasonic Fisheye Lens for Lumix G Cameras

All the warnings in other reviews regarding the unique take on this type of lens are spot on. I also have these lenses for my Nikon, Canon and Pentax cameras. I started with a 35mm Pentax 67 fisheye lens and used it extensively for decades. I was even traveling around Europe and one day my Canon 15mm fisheye lens was the only optics for the trip. Thanks to various software applications to change the shooting geometry, the fisheye lens has become one of the most expressive lens types imaginable. My favorite software of this type is Fisheye Hemi by Image Trend. This software can give me the look I've come to love, much like a swivel lens camera like the Widelux (which I've also had years of experience with). The Panasonic 8mm has great close focus which I want to keep low. Macro angles like shooting flowers with. Combined with the system's rotating LCD display, the kit offers low-level access to some exceptional images. This lens is very sharp and sized in proportion to the growing number of cameras in the micro 4/3 system.

Pros
  • Great Construction
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
