One of my two cats had a UTI and started to urinate in two places on my carpet. The smell was terrible. I found this product and bought it based on the reviews. I ended up using the whole bottle. I didn't notice any difference in the first lap. So I did it a second time the next day and when I woke up the next morning my house smelled good again. I'm glad to have found a product that works and will use again if the need arises. I shampooed the carpeted area with shampoo prior to application but it was essentially a product that removed the smell of cat pee. The price ($16.99) is quite high for such a small amount. This is my only complaint. BUT it was nice to have a solution that worked instead of making a bunch of separate purchases.
