My printer did not always recognize the cartridge. I would have to swap it with another one and then again. Only then will the cartridge work. In addition, the toner ran out very early. I had to shake it a lot, and then it worked for a few more days. This went on for some time. I could see many people throwing them away before they had to because of the blank spaces on the pages. As a result, I wasted a lot of paper because I had to reprint the sheets. Update December 2017. PURE rubbish. The first cartridge, as mentioned above, needs to be constantly pulled out and reinserted in order to be recognized. Well the second cartridge worked fine for about a month and maybe 100 pages. Then I had a paper jam, so I had to open the toner door to get the page out. Well, the cartridge is broken. I don't know what, but something broke off the side and it jumped up and the toner spilled down my arms, into the printer, all over the table and floor. I will never buy them again. I thought my first cartridge might just be a bum and the second will do. Well the second one was a different problem and a heck of a lot dirtier.
