At this point I have not yet decided whether this review should receive 2 or 3 stars. So far I've been generous and bet 3 just like that, but time will tell. How to get a 5 I am very disappointed that the amethyst is sick but I work with crystals and gemstones. After spending several days charging, cleaning and recharging the set, the most important amethyst for me did not respond well. I wasn't sure but looking very closely in very bright light I think I know why. It appears to have been broken and spliced/joined/glued along the breakage. In this case, it will not last very long and will have to be replaced very quickly. The amethyst is also badly scratched with two deep gouges as if it had been clamped tightly. Crystals and gemstones are fragile depending on their natural formation, but intentionally repairing and removing damaged crystals is just wrong when that has happened, but it looks and feels like it. Kit, for that reason, but to be honest I can't go to all the trouble to request a replacement kit as I'm sure the quality will be just as inferior.
