First of all I would recommend going up a size if you are between the highest size (eg if the average size chart says 8.5) and the lowest value of the next larger size (eg ). . I would recommend just going up a size as it's really difficult to get your hand in the glove. It's definitely quite tight at the hole, so the large size means you can easily slip your hand into a glove. I noticed that regardless of the size of the glove, only the hole changes, not the fingers of the palm. The glove feels comfortable and the finger hole fits snugly, so you can be sure the product won't slip off your hand. Another thing I want to say about this is that the padding design is just a bunch of little lines. It feels very comfortable and doesn't chafe on the skin anyway. It definitely has good grip so you don't have to worry about the bar or weight slipping off. I can clench my fist comfortably without feeling my hand losing blood flow. The padding feels really great and is really protective. Another thing I would like to say is that the filling material is very gel-like, so I'm a little concerned that it will loosen up over time. I also really like these gloves. I really recommend getting one size bigger.
