these bags are of course quite heavy and durable but after they have something inside I can't get the smell out no matter how many times I wash them! And I even tried baking soda. A sachet smells like the onion it came in, so I just have to use it for the onion. The other bag had frozen bananas and smelled awful after 5 washes with dish soap and baking soda. I don't know what to do to get smells out of used bags! You become repulsive. any suggestions anyone? When you use and wash the bag, smell it and see for yourself. In fact, I finally managed to get most of the banana bag's smell after opening it fully and leaving it like that for a few days. (and believe me the smell wasn't a pleasant banana smell).
