Love the idea of this rug and the filling actually sinks well through the top layer of foam. However, it is wrapped in two halves. Since this rug has quite a bit of memory, the thick waffle portion of the foam will not lie flat and in some places it will be an inch or two off the ground. The cat doesn't like the way he moves under him when he steps on him and in general he is a very picky cat. Would be a hit if it rolled, but the big bump from the crease is a bit of a deal breaker. I hope that the carpet will flatten out over time. It hasn't even been a week since we had it.
