Review on πŸ’ͺ Neodymium Strongest Powerful Magnets: Unmatched Magnetic Strength for Various Applications by Sam Anez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sturdy, ideal for magnetic knife holders

I use 1.26" x .12" knives instead of the thinner .08" in the magnetic knife holder. Any of my knives can easily be driven through 1/8" wood but due to some uneven hole depths, each knife is held by two magnets. These magnets are strong enough to hold the entire weight of the knife holder + 3 knives (8", 6" and paring knife) on the side of my fridge Opening/closing the door doesn't move Update 8/14/2018 I have some cheaper 1.26" x 1/8" magnets from D**MAG and 1.26" x .06" (1/16 ") Bought magnets from Z***ma to use in the new holder knife. I then did a rough comparison with a scale to see how much weight each magnet could lift with just the narrow edge of the keyring touching the magnet. This 1.26 x 1/8" from App***nets can lift 13 oz while the others can lift 6.5 and 3.7 oz for D**MAG and Z***ma respectively. That difference was noticeable even without using scales. The two cheaper grades are most likely the same grade N based on roughly halving the strength from 1/8th to 1/16th the thickness. Despite this, they are not in the same N category as App*** not.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket
