Review on Crayola Tote Pencil Box with Handle by The Tin Box Company (189417-12) by Amber Jensen

Cheap but with cute graphics

I ordered 2: Trolls and Toy Story for my kids to take in the car to carry toys and some art supplies. The trolls came rumpled. They are made of very thin, malleable pewter. It is not clear if the item was damaged in transit by a slight bump with other items in the box or if it was damaged in storage. Overall, upon inspecting the item, I noticed that the handle is made of the same dry, brittle plastic you find in dollar store items, with a cheap sticker on top. The thin quality of the metal and the way the lid fits loosely to the box, combined with the "Made in China" label, suggest this is more of a dollar store item. Pros: The graphics on the outside of the boxes are very good. listed. So if you're an adult and don't really want to do anything with them other than stare at them on your desk or shelf and not mind the price, I'd say go ahead. Cons: Based on cheap design, if you have small children they will probably wrinkle very easily and I can imagine the plastic handle clicking or the metal clasp slipping with any weight in the box (when filled with crayons or cars for example was). from matchboxes) and many tears. For this reason I have returned both damaged and undamaged boxes.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
