Purchased this very attractive, very well made, and sturdy bee home only to realize I didn't do my research. According to thehoneybeeconservancy.org:1. Mason bees need a "breathable" tube, which bamboo is not. Paper tubes work best, apparently.2. They need a tube that is at least 6" long or you get skewed sex ratios. These tubes are 3.5".Like I said, well made, excellent craftsmanship, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again if it was the correct size. Would make an attractive ornament.

I purchased this item for my greenhouse to promote pollinators. This item is very well crafted and looks wonderful hanging in my greenhouse. I would recommend this product and plan on purchasing another to entice more pollinators into my garden areas.

I am so happy with this product and it has made some leafcutter bees happy as well. The holes with leaves in them are baby leafcutter bees. Leafcutter bees are better pollinators than honey bees.

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday. I thought it was so neat, I bought one for myself. I hung it outside of our shed so the wood bees would not drill any more holes in our shed frame. So far so good. The bees are buzzing away. 🐝The only thing is I will have to reinforce the hanging string. We have a lot of wind and I'm afraid it will break pretty quickly.
