READ THIS BEFORE PURCHASING THE CONSOLE

BUYER ATTENTION! It's very controversial that something like this would be advertised as 1080p at 144Hz (or 120Hz), but the recommended settings were 1080p at 60Hz. (HDMI ONLY) I bought this monitor hoping to get a great gaming experience at 120Hz for my Xbox One X. Unfortunately, I've found that it only works well at 60Hz with FreeSync enabled. I've tried several modes at 120Hz on the monitor, including various settings on my Xbox, and this monitor seems geared towards PC rather than console. Running at 60Hz was actually better than trying to run at 120Hz (yes, the Xbox One X can run at 120Hz if you change your TV settings specifically in the console settings). NOTE. The setup guide that came with the box gives the recommended resolution. was 1080p @ 60Hz (HDMI ONLY). Also, Displayport only works for a PC or anything that is Displayport compatible. I tried using the Displayport to HDMI conversion and got no signal even with the free sync turned off. Picture quality isn't bad for a TN monitor, but it can be noticeable if you don't have the right settings for your application. Overall I think this would be a worthwhile buy for the competitive PC gamer, you have MUCH more flexibility with a display port than you do with HDMI. I totally believe the positive reviews on this monitor but I would trust it to be used for PC. For Xbox, this monitor is best used at 60Hz. For the money I would absolutely not consider buying this monitor for a console. NOTE. This review is based on the Xbox One X. NOT. Xbox Series X or S
