Lamp works great and is exactly as advertised. It came with a lightbulb and assembly couldn't have been simpler. Here are two things to consider before you buy: It is touch responsive. Spirit. So that means it turns itself on (or off) every time you want to put it on your bedside table or somewhere else. I don't mind it much, but it's worth thinking about. Second, the lamp has 3 levels of brightness: press the base once, it turns on, press again, it gets brighter, then press again, it gets brightest. Press again: it turns off. I've found that when I'm reading in bed and not double-tapping to instantly jump to maximum brightness (which I don't most of the time since second-level reading is fine), then little by little you think, everything is fine, i'm done, let's go to sleep, and click on the lamp, it gets brighter. I'm sure most don't mind too much, but I find it far from ideal. Although I love it I give it five stars and I would recommend it for children's rooms as it has a little bit of magic :) Tap-tap and there will be light!
