This is my first encounter with bamboo based paper towels. They are denser, maybe thicker, than regular paper towels. They are also significantly more fibrous. If you look at the attached photo you can see bamboo scraps (something like very thin felt, if you tear it you get something like stretched cotton). They are reusable and can be hand washed up to 50 times. . 50 times! Well, I seriously doubt a sheet can even be used 20 times unless it's used for very light tasks like cleaning glasses. wash paper towel. There are 30 pieces per roll, each measuring 10.75 x 11.75 inches. My regular paper towels (brand name) are 6" x 11.25". So this bamboo paper towel is almost twice as wide. When I took the first piece of this product I felt it was too big. (Ironically, I wasn't very happy when the paper towels were halved from their original size, but after using it I saw how much more effective and economical it was.) Two bamboo spoons are included, which are very good. I'm not sure how this affects the price, but I understand the association of bamboo spoons and bamboo paper towels. Maybe the idea is that you can clean those bamboo spoons 50 times with a bamboo paper towel? This is a very competent product and I appreciate the use of bamboo. The potential for increased durability/usability is also admirable. Compared to the usual branded paper towel packaging, this is still an expensive alternative. Because of these considerations, this product gets 4 stars.
