If you're concerned about putting hot food on the table, this product is probably for you! These hot pads are very well made from 100% cotton tightly woven into a round pad about 1/2 inch thick and about 7 inches in diameter. They are definitely significant. I originally thought I would use them to take hot pots and pans out of the oven, but they are too stiff for this purpose and are best used as liners for hot food to rest on after they're out of the oven were taken . I wholeheartedly recommend them as a well made product that should last a long time with normal use and care. I must add, however, that I haven't washed mine yet; So I don't know how they will hold up after multiple washes. However, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't feel good considering they seem to be of such good construction AND they don't need to be washed as often if they're just being used as a liner to clean hot dishes or pans on. .
