This hat fits my 6 year old well but it's flat and probably doesn't fit much more. The side mesh makes it nice and cool in summer. The neck protection is ideal for the hot summer sun. It's detachable when you don't need it. It snaps easily into place with plastic snaps so the metal doesn't get hot. When closed it holds up well. It is lightweight and packs easily. The material is cool and dries quickly. My only complaint is that the khaki looks undyed, which is fine.
- Nice hat but a bit big
- The valve design may be uncomfortable or restrictive for some children, especially children with sensory problems.
