I realized I was in trouble when I saw what a small box these lamps were in. the top of the lamp socket. And then I was surprised to see that the lampshades are actually flat pieces (that are wrapped around the styrofoam that protects the bases of the lamps). It's up to you to snap and secure them to the white wire rings. And then you add a harp to each lamp and I have to say I wasn't impressed that both of my harps had very crooked end screws and it wasn't something I could just adjust by hand, I had to find a pair of pliers and force straight translate, otherwise the lampshades would sit rather crooked. My other issue was the very short cord, 56 inches is too short to easily reach the outlet, I had to plug them into extension cords and my outlets are pretty close to my bedside tables! I liked that the bulbs were included, but I have to say they give off very little light even on the highest setting. Which brings me to how these lamps work. I really like the concept of the touch base bulb, but only one of mine works properly, almost every area on the bottom of the base is responsive, and the other has a sensitive area of about an inch and a half, that's it. , and it's not even reliable, sometimes it works on the first touch, and sometimes it takes many tries before it responds. Very disappointing. As it stands they are cute very small lamps but I don't think without the right functionality they are not worth the asking price, well if you are thinking of a misbehaving lamp they are not worth the price. I would not order these again.
