This is the first time I've tried a vertical mouse, so if some of my comments sound silly, I have no previous experience to continue. Installation was easy. I plugged in the USB, put the batteries in the mouse, turned it on and it worked right away. The landing of the mouse is not quite vertical. For me, vertical means like holding a cup in my hand. The fit is actually somewhere between just vertical and just horizontal. However, it is a very convenient form. The controls on the left side of the mouse, including the scroll wheel, worked very well and took a lot of getting used to. However, I had a hard time using the forward and back buttons on the right side of the mouse. Positioned at the top, I was able to control the back button with the part of my thumb closest to my palm. The "Forward" button was not easy to reach without changing the hand position. Most of the time when I need to undo an action, I click the bottom control on the left and mouse click on the selection popup and choose something by clicking on the top control on the left. I think if I had a better grip on the right buttons I could save a few clicks. As for the dpi button at the very top, I have no idea what it is or what it's for! Overall I am satisfied with this product and my hand feels much more comfortable when using it. Thank goodness they make left-handed products like this!
