I took a risk in choosing this product despite negative reviews about the quality of the rivets that came with it. I thought these people might not know how to use the tool properly. But I was wrong. This tool is basically a slightly upgraded tool for double flaring harbor cargoes. Except that the studs break off after one or two uses. The rest of the components appear to be slightly better than their cheaper counterparts, but you still can't use them due to crystal issues. I would not recommend this remedy. Was hoping for better quality given the price compared to other tools. Spend your money and get a good set because this tool does not offer quality at a reasonable price. The tailor is decent. And the clamp seems to be of decent quality (doesn't wobble or clamp unevenly like cheaper products). At this price everything should work better considering it costs more than some of the competitors (that I've bought). Flashes are of decent quality if you prepare your line properly. Flaring steel properly with this tool requires perfect preparation and a bit of luck. I definitely wouldn't even try to cut stainless steel with this tool. I'm not a mechanic but I've done several sets of hard lines on different types of vehicles. I figured that's why I could get by without spending extra money on a professional flare kit. I was wrong, and the time and headache you'll have with these cheap torch kits aren't worth the "savings" even for a backyard mechanic or seasoned handyman. I hope this helps your projects run smoother than mine. All in all I can only give two stars. Because it costs more and works worse than cheaper kits. If I didn't have extra stamps, this tool would keep me stuck in my project until I had a replacement. If you use this tool exclusively for copper processing, it might be a good buy for you. But what the product claims it can do is nowhere near what it should be at this price point.
