I am an active hiker and mountain biker who lives in a wooded area. Woodlands = ticks and ticks = NO, THANK YOU! A friend of mine sells doTERRA essential oils and they have an oil called TerraShield that is used to repel ticks and other pesky potentially disease-carrying insects. You should mix TerraShield and some witch hazel in a 4 oz amber glass spray bottle. I've been told I can find them at Walgreens, but I don't have much time to find them. I ordered them, filled one with mix as soon as they arrived and it works great! It gives a nice, even spray every time so far. I also love that they have dust caps so when I throw the atomizer in my backpack I don't accidentally push around and spray the mixture all over its interior.
