It's NOT beige - more of a rather ugly cream color. Made of cheap plastic, the two sides are slightly curved and not rigid, and the base is open so it feels and looks very cheap - like a plastic profile! The worst part was after I put the soap in the pen, which was not only a brilliant idea but the only reason I bought this toilet brush, everything drained into the container between uses and when I got the next brush used, the soap got absolutely everywhere - all over the floor and sides of the toilet. A complete mess! I don't think you should buy until the restrictive soap valve in the handle (if any) has been heavily modified.
