Review on DYKESON Dog Car Net Barrier: Ultimate Auto Safety Mesh Organizer for Cars and SUVs - Ensuring Secure Driving with Children and Pets by Dustin Schultz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Keeps my dog where it belongs.

***Edit a year later: The bungee cords on the sides were torn and I've reconnected them several times to the point where I can't reconnect them. Part of the mesh frays because my dog leans hard against the barrier on every ride. He can also climb over it when he needs to be in the front seat for "guarding purposes" I think and he got tangled in it a couple of times and I had to help him - but he can untangle himself. if he wants. For the most part it was a good product and it wears out after a year so I'll be buying another one. *** I wish I had found this many years ago! If my dog gets in my face while driving or blocks my view on the right side, this has been a problem for me for the past ten years. Passengers in the front seats were also annoyed that he immediately "guarded me from them". It's easy to set up and still allows him to be close enough to me while I'm driving so he's safe and can see what he wants to see and knows he needs to be there while I'm driving. . He does that every now and then. Time to scramble over it like when we stop at a dog park and he sees other dogs and needs to get out NOW like yesterday. At first I was afraid that if I left the car for a few minutes it would get tangled up in it and wouldn't be able to get free. That hasn't happened yet. The clips detach at the bottom if they need to be pulled out for whatever reason he gets restless for any reason and easily hook back in. I haven't tried stowing anything in the two layers of mesh yet, but it's a handy feature because basically what he's learned is that now he has to wait for me to get him out of the back seat. I really appreciate that this has allowed it to stay where it should be while we ride and I don't see any flaws in the product or design. I should add that this is a 90 pound, very loving, very caring, very active, very happy 10 year old GoldenDoodle.
