Review on Enhance performance with Stens 285-847 Spindle Assembly by Oliver Waiker

See other comments about the need for screwing. I didn't expect any improvisation. I thought it was "just like the original". The number of "teeth" on the spindle holding the blade varied. The new one had 3 teeth and the original had at least 6. I think it would be better if there were more teeth. I have replaced both original spindles and one, twice with original Cub Cadet parts. Doesn't work that well with the original material, so maybe these mods are improvements. I recalled coming back to this review a month after mowing the grass to see how it held up.
