Great everyday protection

When I swapped out my old Canon AE-1 film camera for a DSLR, I always missed the AE-1's leather case. It was snug fitting, easy enough to shoot fast enough and offered good everyday protection - you could leave it on the camera at all times. I tried different things to get the same effect on my Canon DSLR. I tried a square neoprene case which was protective but ended up being too baggy and not snug fitting and when I took it off to take pictures I always put it down and left it somewhere. Then I tried Case Logic's "everyday case," which was triangular in shape and included a short strap that attached to the camera strap so it stayed with me when I took the camera out to use it. But this bag, as practical and protective as it was, didn't really fit. It was smaller than a full-size camera bag, but it was boxier and bulkier than what I really wanted. Introduce MegaGear "Ultralight". Form-fitting, protective, attachment point to attach to your camera belt and easy to remove/install for photography. It easily fits my Canon EOS Rebel DSLR with the 18-270mm lens attached. The attachment strap and mini carabiner to attach the case to the camera strap could have been a little longer, but I solved this problem by adding another carabiner. A very minor issue that doesn't affect the overall functionality of the case. And I like the bright red border of the case!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Volume
