Our cat has always had trouble maintaining her weight, she is a very active miniature cat. She is eating freely and still not gaining weight well. We tried five different brands of wet food and found that she is so picky that she only eats flavor twice and then refuses to eat. We then tried six different kibbles (including high-protein foods). Despite being an adult cat, kitten food is the only food with enough fat and protein. Most brands only offer kitty one or two flavors, and it's almost always chicken/poultry. She does not touch poultry-flavored foods. High-calorie supplements also made her wrinkle her nose. When we found this food at Petco, she had lost five pounds. We decided to give it a try because she loves the fishy taste and has more fat and protein than kitten food. If you have a fussy kitten or underweight cat I can't help but recommend this enough! Our cat has returned to her healthy weight - in just a month - and is maintaining that weight. She feeds for free and has been eating this food for two years now. She still loves it too and even asks us to give her more when her plate is empty!
