This is a soft, elastic and durable leash made from high quality leather. A single strip of leather is used for the entire leash, the rivets at each end are only for accepting the end tabs. The weave is created by making small incisions in the leather and threading the line through those incisions, rather than weaving different pieces together. This is important to me because it means the rivets are not needed by the leash, they are purely cosmetic. If the rivet breaks, the leash still works perfectly.
