Review on Little Automatic Hydroponic Submersible 1200GPH by Brian Douglas

If you don't want it to burn out, you MUST disable the 1st! depth gauge. (see below)

This pump works well but has a design flaw. After reading the reviews, some of them turned out to have blown, and I have almost the same thing, I'll explain how to fix it. The problem with this is that the gauge switch is a black circular mechanism that bolts to the bottom rear of the pump. So what happens is that the water level is high enough that the switch is submerged in water and the top of the pump is exposed to the air. Therefore, in a sump, for example, the pump works and runs while its upper part becomes hot. If you unscrew the depth gauge (3 Phillips head screws) and position it so that the entire pump is submerged (mine is only attached to the handle, see picture) you should have no problems. Also, instructions/instructions are essentially non-existent, so it doesn't even say how to do it. Update: This pump still blew up after about 3 years of use even with the depth gauge disconnected.
