After the float switch on my pump gave out, my father suggested I try this combination pump instead of replacing the switch myself. Apparently he has them at home too. After reading my options, using piggybacks seemed like the best (and most economical) solution since my pump was still in good condition. The package arrived on Sunday and I was able to install it. It is today. Installation was easy, even for a newbie (and god forbid, a newbie), and I'm really glad I didn't pay anyone to do it. It took the entire 10 minutes, 5 of which were spent reading instructions. It was as simple as: - Place the float at the water level where the pump should turn on and tie the float - Plug the pump into an outlet. on the trailer - connect the trailer to the wall. If you can use a zip tie and an electrical outlet, you can install them.
