So soft but runs small

I originally ordered a medium size for my 8 year old who is quite thin and tall. Firstly I want to say they are amazing on the inside, they are so soft that she loved it and didn't want to take them off! But the sleeves of the shirt were short and was like 3/4 sleeves on her but it fit her. The pants were a bit short and tight so I decided to go back for more. The length of the large one is perfect at the moment and is a bit loose so hopefully we can last a few years. We love the inner lining!
