Review on 🏷️ XLNTTECH Interior Double Engraved Badges with Premium Raw Materials by Lance Levatte

I recently got a laser engraver and have collected various blanks for it. I figured they would be good for turning into smaller signs or even cutting out smaller shapes for things like icons or similar. However, they state "Ideal for rotary engraving but not 100% for laser". Unfortunately, this information seems to be hidden in the listing and I didn't pay attention. I could use it with my laser. gladly, but not well. I've never had good results, and when a black layer of soot forms on it, it's very difficult to remove, making the whole surface look dirty. They also produce more soot than those designed for laser engraving. It also won't be as clean in the designs you make in it. I still gave it 4 stars because it's unfair to take them away if I'm not using it the way they recommend. Despite the issues I've had and the many hours I've spent tweaking the settings to try and get it to work, I've been able to glean a few decent characters from it. The material is strong but not too heavy so it works well for small signs and if you can engrave it well with a rotary engraver or somehow get good results with a laser it makes good signs and the contrast of the white and blue looks great good. . If you have a rotary engraver this is probably great, but if you have a laser engraver expect more disappointing results. They sell blanks that are designed for use with laser engravers, so I would recommend just looking for the size/color in the blanks that they recommend for use with a laser.
