Review on Chuanganzhuo Camera Universal Normal Reverse by Steve Lawrence

For the price this little camera is quite exceptional, if not without flaws. I only installed this unit about a month ago but it has worked great every time, has a sharp image and seems to handle any type of humidity with no problems. I installed it on a hatchback (Matrix) myself, so the installation was a little more time consuming and intense than most people's. It was also necessary to run some extra wiring (not included) as there were no reversing lights in the hatch (and there weren't enough wiring in the kit to run). This is to be expected, and I doubt it's any different with any rear camera, as there's no point throwing in 8-10 feet of extra wiring for just the small percentage of owners who need it. I also installed an additional on/off toggle switch under the dash so I can turn on the camera when I'm not reversing. However, since I installed it in a hatchback, I had to do a few steep rides. with wiring, but due to the fact that the wire included in the kit is of lower quality, the wire was disconnected when pulling. If my thinking is correct, I would reverse wire routing to take advantage of the smaller wire head connector that is part of a good model design. If you're planning a tight run like this, think ahead. The only improvement I made to the installation was the mounting screw. The kit included an open screw that would have been useful in certain situations, but in my case it was not needed and due to the lack of a full thread I was unable to tighten the screw to secure it without thread skipping. . A quick trip to the hardware store and 19 cents solved this problem. I was also impressed that they included an option to flip the image or remove the guides. A better guide can help, but with them and the internet, it's not that hard to figure out. Overall a pretty impressive product and great value for money. After a month of use I can only recommend it.
